As many of you know, I bang on about being consistent ALL THE TIME, whether it is fitness, health or nutrition, consistency really is key.
What about blog writing? I've never managed to stay consistent with that, I manage to write regularly for a few weeks at a time and then suddenly life gets busy, blog writing falls down the priority list and I stop posting for weeks/months (even years!). Recently I promised myself I would write one blog a week, so here I am.
I started this one 3 times, about a different subject every time. I'd write a sentence or two then stop, really trying to think of something to add. Normally when I start writing, it just flows, so I knew that those 3 attempts were not right. I deleted them all and then this one started...
I felt like a bit of hypocrite talking about consistency when I cant even manage to stay consistent with writing this! The beautiful thing with consistency is that all is required is to keep on going, it doesn't have to be the biggest and best, just the fact you've shown up and carried on proves to yourself that you are making steps to being the person you wanted to become. Many of us stop taking steps in the direction we started in because we lose that consistency, we feel that if it's not 100% then it isn't worth it. This just isn't true though. Showing up and doing something is always going to be better than doing nothing.
This applies to going to the gym, eating well, learning, training, going sober, writing blogs...the list is endless really.
So, there we go, I'm keeping this one short and sweet - I just wanted to stay consistent and prove to myself that I can show up and do it.
Thanks for reading! Do let me know how you're staying consistent too!
